Davydenko RUS 3 bt Nadal Spa 2 0-6, 7-6, 6-4

The great Belgian rivalry resumed at the WTA final in Brisbane with Kim Clijsters saving two match points to defeat Justine Henin, who was playing in her first event back since retirement. It

seemed Clijsters was heading for an easy win after winning the first set and taking a 4-1 lead in the second. However, Henin fought back to take the second set and take a 3-0 lead in the decider. The final brought the Brisbane feet to their feet throughout the match lasting 2 hours and 23 minutes.
